Even before the attack on Pearl Harbor, American soldiers were preparing for the Second World War, including thousands of men from the Tri-State. Author and researcher Harold Morgan will survey some of the camps to which they were sent, such as Camp Breckinridge, Camp Campbell, Fort Knox, and others, as well as the 101st Airborne (Band of Brothers) based at the Evansville airport and in McCutchanville.
Mr. Morgan has published "Home Front Heroes: Evansville and the Tri-State in World War II" and "Home Front Warriors," in addition to other historical and genealogical books. Please join him for this special event, which is free and open to the public.
Reservations are appreciated. For more information, call (812) 425-4309, ext. 114.
