Lori Thornton, a professional genealogist who specializes in Southern states and religious records, will be the special presenter for the 2013 TreeRoots seminar. TreeRoots is scheduled for September 14th, 2013. The lecture topics are as follows. We look forward to you joining us!

Religious Records in the Bible Belt – Discover more about your ancestors by studying their religious preference and the records of that affiliation.

The Basics of DNA for the Family Historian – An overview of what one can learn about their family history through DNA and how to acquire testing.

Newspaper Discoveries – Find out how to discover exciting information in newspapers that can prove useful to genealogical research.

Examining the Evidence - Learn to examine the source's accuracy and relaibility and to consider other sources that might give more conclusive results.
