The permanent art displays in Willard Library have stories of their own to tell. Click on the pieces below to learn more about them.
The Easter Egg Tree was created by Margaret Maier, Willard Library Children’s Librarian for 50 years. With its blown-eggshells decorated to look like literary characters, the tree was a spring tradition at the Library for many years, beginning in 1951. Maier handcrafted and added new eggs each year, and removed eggs as they became dirty or took great falls.
