Join Renny McBride, Local History Librarian at EVPL, and Pat Sides, Willard Library Archivist, as they discuss the life and work of Karl Kae Knecht, nationally-acclaimed cartoonist and photographer for the Evansville Courier from 1906-1960. The audience will views samples of Knecht's editorial cartoons, as well as some of his many photographs, which depict life in Evansville during much of the 20th century.

Knecht's cartoons and photographs are in the process of being digitized; they will soon be available for viewing on the Indiana Memory website. This project is made possible by a grant from the U. S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Indiana State Library.
