This summer we will explore the science behind the wonder! Come to Willard Library and find answers during the Summer of Wonder.

May 30th Slime Science Who invented slime? How does slime work? Why is slime so satisfying? What is the best recipe? We will be answering these questions and making our own slime! 1:30 pm

June 6th Mary Jo Huff, Summer of Wonder 2:00 pm

June 13th The History and Mystery of the Marionette puppet world - Dan Raynor introduces us to his marionette puppets. Music of Johann Sebastian Bach and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Wake up Rumpelstiltskin! 1:30-2:30 pm

June 20th The wonder of being different
Reading excerpts from We are All Wonders by RJ Palacio and The Golden Rule by Marie Baumgartner. Celebrate diversity. All of the colors make the sky blue!

June 22nd Living History of the Civil War and the School of the Soldier a civil war re-enactment program. Classes at 10:00 am 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Appropriate for children 5 to 12 years of age.

June 27th Inside Minecraft Mind. What is Minecraft? Why are kids and adults so crazy about Minecraft? Create your own skin! Design you own home. 1:30-2:30

July 4th No Program

July 11th Make Time for a Movie 2:00-3:00 pm. In what ways are movies made? What is your favorite type of movie? Making a stop action Claymation movie set for our movie Dinosaurs surround Willard!

July 18th Daniel Lusk and the Magic Show of Wonders! 2:00 pm

July 25th Bubble Science. Why do bubbles pop? Why do bubbles stay clear? Help us make Wonder Bubbles giant unpoppable bubbles. Sonny Fenwick and his bubble truck from 1:30-2:30 pm

Aug 1st Roger Wayne Despard, Magician Georgetown Ky. Aug 1:30-2:30 pm.

Aug 4th Grand Finale Picnic in the Park and
Summer Reading Grand Prize Give Away.
