Where the River Grins is an Evansville history book for the young and the young at heart. Join Angie Karcher for a discussion of the book followed by a fun Evansville trivia game. Participants will learn interesting facts about Evansville while engaging in a family game night atmosphere. Evansville history buffs and novices alike are welcome! The Evansville Local Authors Series is a monthly program intended to spark discussions and creative collaboration.

Angie Karcher is the author of Where the River Grins (2012) and The Legendary R. A. Cowboy Jones (2013), published by M. T. Publishing. Her latest title, Santa's Gift, comes out this fall and is about the Santa Claus statue recently restored and placed back on Highway 41.

Angie is also the founder of Rhyming Picture Book Month, a writer's challenge held in April and The Best in Rhyme Award named annually in New York City. Her poetry is most recently published in The Indiana Tribute Poems and Songs Bicentennial Anthology compiled by Author Byron Buckley. She is a member of The SCBWI, (Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators) Academy of American Poets and the Evansville Local Authors group. She founded the RPB (Rhyming Picture Book) Revolution Conference last December in New York City and will host the next conference in New Harmony, Indiana October 12-14th.
